Ransom Demand Media Services, a new edgy television production company, asked me to design their logo. The style of the logo is to look half way between a graphic novel and the beginning of a ransom note. It was fun to work with a graphic medium that is outside of the normal corporate design style that I normally work with.

This is a promotional video of a fun and politically educational game I designed a couple of months ago. Here’s what the creator says about what the game is all about:
Yes We Can?TM Game was created as an entertaining way to learn and retain the details of detrimental government policies and to communicate the economic and financial foundations upon which these policies should be corrected. Through humor, more people will become engaged and direct government in a positive direction (at least that’s the theory).
The final game should be released in time for Christmas. Details to follow on how and when to order a copy!

Exciting things are ahead in the world of CSS. Last weekend I attended An Event Apart http://aneventapart.com/events/. The speakers are the who’s who in the fantastical world of web design. They unveiled new happenings that will ohh and aww the family back home. And apparently there is a world of animation you can create using just CSS. Who knew I ask? Who knew? Well, I didn’t know… The conference is traveling the globe…that being, three more states. If it’s in your area, I highly recommend you attend.

I thought I would flex my flash muscles and create a one-of-a-kind splash page for my website. What better way to introduce my website than a parade of chateaus, flying squirrels, dogs, and top hats. Don’t blink or you might miss it! Enjoy…

I designed the book cover for my husband’s book, The Community of the Faithful. It is a book about who we are and what it truly means to live in community with one another. Here’s the synopsis…
The greatest temptation facing the world and the up and coming generations is illusion. We have found ourselves isolated in a world of self-realization in lieu of a fabricated reality. From online communities and rapid weight-loss or wealth systems to curb side appeal and leased luxury cars: We are consistently putting forth an image which announces a vicious circle of entitlement while constantly seeking approval. Do you feel the pressures of being all things to all people, continuously within reach of communication through technology, the invasion of societal publicity within our private lives or a lack of defined substance for focus on appearance? Have you been trapped in a routine of confusion about your character defined within activities and associations? The challenges of acceptance, dependence, love, fear, belonging and freedom bring us to question our purpose and how fulfilled we are. The Community of the Faithful dives in to the fabric of who we are, how we see ourselves and how that translates to the communities that we belong to. Finding the path to fearless relationship, conceived in our true identity and embodied in a real perception of who we are and who others are. This revealing journey down the corridors of legitimate significance opens the doors of the substantial aspects of our existence which lead us to peace and contentment.
Book to be released later this year.

Last week Josh and I had a surprise visit from Kevin Sturm. He was in town promoting Showit, a phenomenal website tool that creates awe-inspiring flash websites. Kevin invited us to an event Showit was hosting and we were amazed! I had created my original website using CSS, HTML, and javascript. It was ok, but not great. Using the Showit platform, I redesigned my site. Here it is unveiled…
Every Dog Has it’s Day

This is a graphic art piece that I created just for fun. My intent was to play with layers and sizing. My inspiration came from my two dogs and their deep love of squirrels. What would be more awesome than an army of squirrels parachuting into this dog’s backyard? Not much Paige and Skylar would say. Not much indeed.

I was asked to create a dvd jacket and cover for a media company in Sydney, Australia. It was for a dvd presentation on the danger of being overly tired on the job. In my design, I used a blurred effect to represent the idea of extreme tiredness. Here’s the jacket…

Just for kix I entered a t-shirt contest for an upcoming concert in the Dee Cee metro area. The winner recieved two free tickets, a prize that all would ooh and ahhh over. This isn’t the full design…just a small sample. DeeCee is an awesome place to be!
